NiP have won RaidCall EMS One Cup #2 after a 2-0 (16-2 de_inferno_se, 16-4 de_train_se) victory over Epsilon in the grand final to clinch a spot in the main round. The second day of RaidCall EMS One Cup #2 started with Epsilon quickly defeating French Imaginary who, despite scoring an impressive win over VeryGames yesterday, were back to using Steeve "Ozstrik3r" Flavigni in their roster, 16-9 on de_inferno_se. NiP's semi-final was over just as quickly as they secured an all-Swedish grand final by knocking 3DMAX out of the tournament with a scoreline of 16-6 on de_train_se with Adam "friberg" Friberg leading the way with his 26/14 performance, good for a rating of 1.94. Epsilon, who have been accused of cheating by just about all of their recent opponents, played today from a LAN center in Sweden to prove they don't need hacks to compete.
However, that is exactly what they would have needed to stand a chance on de_inferno_se versus Ninjas in Pyjamas, as the world's best quickly shoved the young upcoming Swedes to the side, winning twelve straight rounds en route to a 16-2 victory on the opening map. The lengthy break that ensued looked to have worked for Epsilon, who won three of the first seven rounds, after losing the pistol. After that NiP switched to a higher gear though, winning all but one of the remaining rounds to finish the half 11-4. Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's team continued solid play in their terrorist half, winning five straight rounds to clinch a 2-0 grand final win, only losing a mere six rounds in the process.
